Job Title : Technical Support Engineer (VMware & SQL Server)

About the Role : Consol Partners are looking for a skilled and motivated Technical Support Engineer to join their client's team, a global leader in fusion energy research. This role is critical in providing technical support to a dynamic team of engineers and scientists who work with advanced virtualization programs within the framework of a major construction and development project.

As a key member of the support team, you will assist in ensuring the smooth operation of virtualization technologies like VMware and Microsoft SQL Server, and be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues that arise. You will collaborate with a team of experts in a highly technical environment, helping to keep infrastructure running optimally in an international setting.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide technical support for virtualization systems (VMware) and Microsoft SQL Server to engineers and scientists working on the ITER project.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to virtualization, databases, and system performance.
• Offer efficient and effective solutions to enhance operational efficiency and system reliability.
• Work independently and collaboratively as part of a global support team.
• Provide timely and clear communication in English to team members across various international locations.

Requirements :

• Proven experience in VMware or Microsoft SQL Server. Experience in both is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to provide clear, efficient support.
• Ability to work independently, as well as in collaboration with a diverse team.
• Advanced proficiency in English (both written and verbal) is mandatory due to the international nature of the project.
• A background in supporting engineers or scientists in technical projects is a plus.
