Acciona, on its Water Business Line, is looking for a Procurement Manager for a project based in the UK, London.

Mission:
Contract Review
- Analyse project contracts focusing on procurement-related sections to identify risks and opportunities.
Project Handover
- Attend internal meetings to facilitate the transition from the Proposal phase to the Project phase, following the Project Kick-off Checklist.
Documentation and Approvals
- Lead the preparation and approval of Procurement Terms and Conditions.
- Develop and secure internal and client approvals for Procurement Execution and Closure strategies.
Procurement Management
- Oversee the procurement team’s activities for purchasing equipment, materials, and services, ensuring project requirements are met.
- Manage team resources and allocate responsibilities.
- Ensure effective communication with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Expediting, Logistics, Inspection, Finance, Cost Control, Legal, etc.).
- Comply with internal procurement procedures.
Procurement Strategies
- Collaborate with Category Managers to define and promote procurement strategies aligned with project objectives, including supplier selection.
- Advocate for sustainable and ethical procurement practices.
Commercial and Supplier Management
- Participate in commercial evaluations, negotiations, and resolution of disputes with suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contract terms.
Procurement Lifecycle Management
- Oversee milestones, ensuring tender requests align with project scope and purchase orders meet project requirements.
- Participate in award committees and manage change orders.
- Coordinate procurement activities with expediting and logistics functions, reporting any incidents or critical issues to Project Management.
- Organise internal department meetings with Engineering to update deliverable statuses and address potential delays, informing Project Management of any critical consequences.
Cost Management
- Monitor budgets, identify cost overruns, and initiate corrective actions in coordination with the Cost and Project departments.
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead procurement team meetings both on-site and at headquarters, foster professional development, and ensure lessons learned are documented for future projects.
Reporting
- Consolidate procurement execution and other project and headquarters-required reports.
Project Closure
- Lead final procurement activities, including reporting and site handover management.
Requisitos del candidato
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role, with a background in industrial/engineering projects.
- Fluency in English is essential.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills. A dynamic, goal-oriented professional with strong planning and organisational abilities.
- Full availability for travel and relocation is required.
