Senior IP Network Consultant

Our client based in Madrid, Spain is currently looking for a Senior IP Network Consultant. This is a remote role but candidates need to be based in Spain and Spanish language is required.

This is a contract / freelance role initially for 3-6 months with long term extensions.

Required skills and experience:

• Strong English and Spanish language skills
• IP / MPLS Solutioning experience of Planning, Design, Deployment and Operations
• IP / MPLS expertise, especially on any of the Huawei, CISCO, Juniper and Nokia Networks
• Ability to understand customer’s network and its pain areas and provide solutions.
• Expert on IP Planning and Design tools from OEMs like Juniper, Huawei, Nokia or Cisco
• Deep understanding of IP / MPLS and SR understanding, including:
• IPv4 / v6, MPLS, SRv6, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, PIM, xSTP, LAG, ACL, RIP, VRF, LDP, RSVP, IGMP, GRE
• MPLS based L3 VPN and QoS (TE)
• IPoDWDM
• Knowledge of ATM, Frame Relay, HDLC, POS
• L2-L3 Apps (L2 protocols such as HDLC, PPP, ARP, HSRP / VRRP, CDP)
• L2 VPN (AToM, VPLS, VPWS) and QoS (TE)
• Ethernet: GE, 802.1q VLANs, 802.1ad (QinQ)
• ACL, QoS
• Switch / Router Platform Infrastructure
• L2 / L3 Forwarding Infrastructure
• OAM and KPIs
• Experience and knowledge of New Technologies like IP-Optical Convergence
• Good knowledge of IP SDN Solution from Cisco (NSO / CNC) or Nokia
• SB and NB API Customization knowledge
