About the role

As Mews expands across new regions and continues to build groundbreaking products, we need someone who can bring order to the numbers. We're looking for a financial expert who will help us maintain up-to-date, accurate accounting records. As part of our Financial Reporting team, you'll oversee complex financial operations and have the opportunity to grow with us as we continue our global journey.


Your mission, should you choose to accept it:

  1. Lead the monthly group IFRS consolidation and balance sheet reporting for 20+ entities (and counting!).
  2. Ensure that accounting policies are applied correctly, working closely with our Technical Accounting team.
  3. Collaborate with the Accounting and Controlling teams to ensure precise reporting.
  4. Maintain the group chart of accounts and make sure everything lines up smoothly.
  5. Take charge of quarterly IFRS adjustments, calculations, and postings.
  6. Prepare full annual IFRS financial statements, including all the necessary disclosures.
  7. Help coordinate and support the group IFRS audit.

You'll be a great fit if you bring a few of the below with you:

  1. Significant experience with accounting, IFRS reporting, and a deep understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
  2. Strong ability to critically review financial statements, identify deficiencies, and ensure accurate reporting.
  3. Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, combined with experience using ERP systems, consolidation tools, and database platforms.
  4. Fluency in English with excellent communication skills to effectively cooperate with global teams and partners.
  5. Strong organizational skills, structured approach, and readiness to handle complex tasks with a proactive, improvement-focused mindset.
  6. ACCA/CIMA certification and previous Big 4 experience are strong advantages.
