Senior Full Stack Engineer (Next.js / React + Python / FastAPI) - Fully Remote

About the Role

We're seeking talented Full-Stack Engineers to join our growing team and work on cutting-edge AI-powered applications. You'll contribute to our modern frontend applications built with Next.js / React and our sophisticated backend systems powered by Python / FastAPI. This role offers the opportunity to work across the entire stack, from user interfaces to API design and implementation.

This is a fully remote position. You must be located in Europe or a timezone similar to Spain (CET / CEST). You'll be working closely with our lead developer, who is based in Spain, while the rest of our organization is primarily distributed across Australia.

Key Responsibilities

Priority Focus Areas:

1. Build and support a multi-tenant database system with separate schemas for each organization
2. Take ownership in building products from idea to final release
3. Integrate AI capabilities, including LLMs (RAG), text summarization, Q&A, pattern recognition, and moderation tools
4. Implement user authentication and access control using Clerk or similar solutions

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain features across both frontend and backend codebases
2. Build responsive, performant user interfaces using Next.js, React, and Tailwind CSS
3. Implement and enhance RESTful APIs using FastAPI and Python
4. Collaborate with the team on architecture decisions and technical direction
5. Implement security best practices and user authentication flows
6. Apply error tracking and logging solutions (Sentry) for production monitoring
7. Follow performance optimization best practices for production applications
8. Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
9. Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation
10. Work closely with product managers to translate requirements into technical solutions

Required Technical Skills

Priority Skills:

1. Multi-tenant Architecture: Experience designing and implementing database systems with isolated client data
2. Full Product Lifecycle: Proven track record of building products from concept to production release
3. AI Integration: Experience working with LLMs and building RAG systems, text processing pipelines
4. Authentication: Proficiency with Clerk or similar systems for user management and access control

Frontend Expertise:

1. Experience with Next.js (preferably Next.js 13 / 14 with App Router)
2. Proficiency with Tailwind CSS for building responsive UIs
3. Strong understanding of state management and data fetching strategies
4. Knowledge of frontend testing and performance optimization

Backend Expertise:

1. Strong Python development skills with RESTful API experience
2. Familiarity with FastAPI or similar Python web frameworks
3. Understanding of asynchronous programming concepts
4. Experience with SQL databases and ORM libraries (SQLAlchemy preferred)
5. Knowledge of API security, logging, and monitoring best practices

Additional Valuable Skills:

1. Development Tools & Infrastructure: Docker and containerization experience
2. AWS infrastructure knowledge
3. Experience with error tracking (Sentry) and logging tools (LogTail)
