Frontend Developer (6-Month Contract, Remote, Spain)

Position: Frontend Developer
Duration: 6 months contract
Location: Remote working from Spain
Languages: Spanish and English

Are you an experienced Frontend Developer interested in new contracting assignments in Spain? Our client has a new long-term project and is currently looking to build a team of data consultants and frontend developers. The contract will be on a B2B freelancing basis for an initial duration of 6 months with opportunities to extend further.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain responsive, high-performance web applications and user interfaces.
2. Write clean, modular, reusable, and scalable front-end code using modern JavaScript frameworks.
3. Integrate with RESTful APIs and third-party services.
4. Collaborate with back-end developers to ensure seamless integration of front-end and back-end components.
5. Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
6. Contribute to code reviews, pair programming, and maintain high coding standards.

Technical Skills:

1. Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+).
2. Experience with front-end frameworks/libraries like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
3. Solid understanding of responsive design and mobile-first development.
4. Experience with version control systems like Git and GitHub.
5. Familiarity with build tools.
6. Knowledge of RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
7. Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Vuex, or Context API).
8. Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and solutions.
9. Familiarity with testing frameworks.
10. Knowledge of CSS preprocessors like Sass or LESS is a plus.

Soft Skills:

1. Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
2. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
3. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
4. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
5. Enthusiasm for learning and keeping up with the latest technology trends.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
2. Experience with TypeScript is a plus.
3. Knowledge of front-end performance optimization techniques.
4. Previous experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
5. Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
