Senior Data Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Setting data engineering standards and best practices.
• 3-5 years' experience working in data warehouse projects.
• Overseeing the architecture and development of complex data systems.
• Knowledge of data quality, data lineage, and compliance requirements.
• Effectively communicating technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
• Responsible for designing automated pipelines that handle the ETL of data from various sources into storage systems.
• Manage a DWH (Snowflake), ensuring it's optimized for performance and data integrity.
• Integrating data from diverse sources, such as APIs, DBs, and flat files, ensuring smooth integration and consistent data quality.

Required Skills:

• ETL Processes: Proficiency in designing and implementing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) workflows.
• Data Warehousing: Deep understanding of Snowflake's architecture, including data type, collation, virtual warehouses, micro-partitions, and clustering.
• SQL: Advanced SQL skills for querying, data manipulation, and performance tuning.
• Basic AWS Services: Understanding of EC2, Lambda, and other relevant services for data engineering.
• Python: For scripting, automation, and data manipulation.
• Experience in creating pipelines using established CI/CD frameworks in the cloud (e.g., AWS specific CI/CD skills that include Bitbucket, Jenkins, ...).

Degree Requirements:

• At least a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
