Senior Data Analyst

The Challenge

As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for working with large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and correlations. You will transform data-driven insights into strategic recommendations for stakeholders at all levels, ranging from product teams to tribe leads and company leadership. Collaborating closely with Product, Marketing, Data, and Tech teams, you will design and execute experiments, conduct quantitative research, and ensure continuous access to high-quality data and insightful visualizations.

What You Will Do

  1. Developing metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and performance measurement frameworks.
  2. Identifying growth opportunities through data trends using time-series analysis and predictive modeling.
  3. Extracting quantitative insights from data and translating them into actionable recommendations to address knowledge gaps and drive business impact.
  4. Creating and managing dashboards enabling easy data access for the stakeholders.
  5. Maintaining data pipelines to ensure efficient data flow and accessibility and ensuring data quality.
  6. Designing, executing, and interpreting A/B tests to evaluate product features or marketing strategies.
  7. Conducting exploratory data analysis (EDA) to understand data characteristics, user segments, and market evolution.
  8. Contributing to high-quality documentation for metrics, analyses, and data models.
  9. Promoting data literacy and a data-driven mindset within the team and the organization.

What We're Looking For

  1. Proven experience in a Data Analyst role, preferably in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
  2. Expert-level proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, etc.).
  3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract meaningful insights from complex datasets.
  4. Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  5. Experience in defining and implementing metrics and data models.
  6. Solid understanding of statistical concepts, methodologies, and their practical applications.
  7. Proactive and collaborative mindset with a proven ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  8. Passion for data and a strong commitment to data-driven decision-making.

What Would Be A Plus

  1. Familiarity with Data Warehousing and ETL processes.
  2. Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R.
  3. Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.
  4. Basic experience in training and applying Machine Learning models and techniques.
  5. Experience working with large datasets and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
  6. Domain expertise in marketplaces or classifieds.
  7. Exposure to qualitative research methodologies.

Do note that all our jobs are Barcelona based. We follow a hybrid model where flexibility rules. We commit to a minimum of 6 days per month in the office. Each team self-organizes to decide on cadence and in-person/remote rituals.
