We are seeking a Senior Backend or Full Stack Developer who is responsible, well-organized, and able to thrive in a remote team environment. Someone who has a keen eye for detail and a proactive, solution-orientated mindset. We're excited to bring AI / ML into our toolkit, and part of your role will be to explore and learn these technologies. We will provide you with the time and materials required – You don’t need to be an expert in Math or a PhD!

Tasks

What is the job like?

• You will deliver high-quality, maintainable code and adhere to best practices.
• To ensure everything works correctly you will write unit/integration/e2e tests.
• You will work on our next generation Digital Out Of Home (DOOH) bidder (page to product) and other related projects.
• Every Friday the team has a video call to organize the next sprint.
• Every day except Friday we have a short daily meeting to report our status.

Requirements

Qualifications :

• You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• You take responsibility and ownership of your own work.
• You have a sharp eye for detail and care about quality.
• You proactively seek out opportunities to learn and stay up to date with industry trends and technologies.
• You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Technical Skills :

• You are proficient in using Git.
• Solid understanding of Node.js, including: the event loop, streams, asynchronous programming, dealing with errors, events.
• You have experience in distributed, high availability & high scalability projects.
• You are familiar with message queues.
• You have experience with Redis.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, including: modern SQL, data indexing strategies, stored procedures, and transaction handling.
• You are comfortable working with Linux.
• You know the basics of shell scripting.

Bonus :

• Experience with CDC (Change data capture).
• Experience with Polyglot persistence.
• Experience in problems beyond the CRUD problem space.
• Experience with AI / ML.
