Senior Accountant Iberia

The figure, placed in the Financial Department reporting to the Accounting Responsible, will manage all the accounting functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage all accounting functions within the company.
• Manage all the month-end close and financial reporting, including Revenue, AP (+ageing), and GL.
• Ensure month end and year-end closings are reliable and performed within required deadlines (IFRS and each Local accounting standards), with strict deadlines.
• Coordination with external consultants for fiscal declarations and needs.
• Preparation of yearly Financial Statements.
• Participate in the accounting reporting process.
• Manage specific internal control environment cycles and managing internal control.
• Journal entries and accruals.
• Intercompany control.
• Assets and depreciation registration.

PROFILE:

• Bachelor in Business Administration, Economics or similar.
• Experience at an international accounting department or Big Four or similar outsourcing department.
• Experience working for an international environment & cross-functional and networked organization and monthly reporting experience.
• Superior communication skills in English, both spoken and written, to effectively address and influence all levels within the organization. Portuguese or Italian will be considered a plus.
• SAP knowledge.
• Local Portugal rules and IFRS. ITA GAAP (desirable).
• Good organizational and planning skills.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing work demands.
