Job Title : Social Media & Digital Marketing Manager (Contract-to-Hire)

Organization : Global non-profit organization to educate in uniquely engaging ways about the effects of emotional abuse and promote healing for victims through revolutionary technology and community, currently in ten languages.

Location : Remote from Spain for U.S.-based entity (with occasional in-person meetings as required)

Reports To : Spanish-speaking Co-Founder and English-speaking Executive Director

Salary : €60,000-80,000 annually

Job Overview :

We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and strategic Social Media & Digital Marketing Manager fluent in Spanish and English with 5-10 years of experience to lead our online presence and drive digital growth.

This entrepreneurial individual will be responsible for creating, implementing, and managing social media and digital marketing strategies that amplify our mission to promote emotional health and well-being. Additionally, this role requires expertise in limiting reputational risks, including effectively and professionally addressing and mitigating online smear campaigns. International marketing experience and a passion for social good are essential for this position. Qualified applicants will provide specific examples of previous successful campaigns including creative and managerial responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Social Media Management : Develop, execute, manage and measure engaging social media strategies across platforms (YouTube, Instagram, X, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook, WhatsApp, etc.). Create, plan and schedule content that aligns with our values and initiatives, including emotional health messaging, app updates, and collaborations. Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions to foster community engagement and support. Stay updated on and incorporate social media trends into our content strategy.
  • Digital Marketing : Plan and implement digital campaigns to increase app downloads, raise brand awareness, and drive website traffic and donations. Manage email marketing campaigns, newsletters, and other digital outreach efforts. Track and analyze key performance metrics to optimize marketing strategies and report results to leadership. Collaborate with leadership, designers, writers, and other team members to produce cohesive digital content.
  • International Marketing : Develop and execute culturally relevant campaigns tailored to the U.S. market and diverse global audiences. Collaborate with regional partners and influencers to amplify our reach and relevance across international territories. Research and implement localization strategies to ensure culturally sensitive and impactful messaging in all digital marketing efforts.
  • Reputation Management : Proactively monitor online mentions and sentiment surrounding our organization. Identify, address, and mitigate online smear campaigns or misinformation swiftly and effectively. Manage reviews on app stores, responding professionally to feedback and ensuring user concerns are addressed to maintain a positive reputation. Develop and execute strategies to protect and enhance our online reputation. Work closely with legal or PR teams when necessary to handle escalated issues.
  • Collaboration & Growth : Partner with internal teams and external collaborators to create compelling online marketing campaigns spanning display and video advertising. Identify and engage with influencers, thought leaders, and partner organizations to expand external awareness. Provide input on merchandise and branding initiatives to ensure alignment with marketing efforts.

Qualifications :

Required Skills & Experience :

  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
  • Proven experience in social media management and digital marketing (minimum 3-5 years) including collaborating on or directly overseeing creative.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, analytics tools, and marketing software (e.g., Hootsuite, Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Meta Business Suite).
  • Experience managing online reputations and handling PR challenges, including addressing smear campaigns.
  • Excellent communication and copywriting skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to analyze data, generate insights, and adapt strategies based on results.

Preferred Skills :

  • Experience working with nonprofit or cause-driven organizations, or a strong desire to contribute to social good.
  • International marketing experience, develop culturally relevant campaigns and managing multi-language digital platforms tailored to the U.S. and diverse global markets.
  • Basic graphic design or video editing skills (e.g., Adobe Suite, Figma, or similar tools).
  • Familiarity with SEO and paid digital advertising strategies.
  • Experience creating popular short-form content for TikTok, YouTube, Instagram and other online platforms.
