We are one of the fastest-growing podcast and audiobook platforms in Europe, and we are now looking for a dynamic, experienced PR professional to drive our brand presence and reputation in the Spanish market, building meaningful connections with local media and audiences.

This is the role

Reporting directly to the Global PR Director and sitting with the local team in Madrid, the Podimo Spain PR Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing public relations strategies tailored to Spanish market dynamics. This role is crucial in enhancing brand visibility, reputation, and engagement for Podimo in Spain, while aligning with overall global PR objectives.

Your main responsibilities in this role :

Local Strategy Development :

1. Collaborate with the Podimo ES team and the Global PR Director to develop and implement a comprehensive local PR strategy aligned with global goals.
2. Identify key local media, influencers, and stakeholders to build and nurture relationships for effective communication.

Media Relations :

1. Cultivate and maintain relationships with local media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure positive coverage. Lifestyle and entertainment media relationships are a must, as well as key business and tech outlets.
2. Draft compelling press releases, pitches, and media kits tailored to the local market, ensuring consistency with global messaging.

Creator Relations :

1. Develop creative and effective strategies for new show launches and reactivation of content, working closely with creators and teams on messaging and roll out.
2. Work with creators for ongoing PR opportunities throughout the duration of their shows in collaboration with marketing managers.
3. Nurture relationships with production companies and talent agencies.

Local Events and Partnerships :

1. Plan and execute local events, partnerships that enhance brand visibility and resonate with the Spanish audience.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of PR initiatives with marketing and business objectives.

Crisis Management :

1. Act as the local point of contact for crisis communication, working closely with the Global PR Director and internal stakeholders to manage and mitigate potential reputational risks.

Content Localization :

1. Localize global PR content to ensure cultural relevance and resonance with the local audience.
2. Collaborate cross-functionally with local teams to ensure communication channels are aligned on messaging.

Reporting and Analysis :

1. Provide regular reports on PR activities, coverage, and key performance indicators.
2. Analyze and interpret data to measure the effectiveness of local PR campaigns and recommend adjustments for continuous improvement.

What we’re looking for :

1. Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
2. 7 years of proven PR experience in the Spanish market. Previous experience in TV, radio, streaming platforms would be a plus. Past experience in a communication and / or PR-agency is valued.
3. Strong understanding of the Spanish media landscape, cultural nuances, and consumer behavior.
4. Strong network links with lifestyle, tech, and corporate media journalists.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in Spanish and English. Fluent English proficiency is a must as this is our company language.
6. Ability to work collaboratively with global and local teams.

Naturally, being passionate and knowledgeable about podcasts, audio content, media, and entertainment is a big plus!
