The Role

We are looking for a Qualified Accountant to account for UK & GSA legal entities. The role requires a qualified accounting individual with experience in month-end closing, variance analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation, and a keen eye for detail, a strong analytical mindset, focus on quality and efficiency.

What You’ll Do

Reporting to Finance Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Assisting in the financial accounting and monthly & quarterly reporting for UK & GSA legal entities, including but not limited to:
2. Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
3. Investigation and resolution of balance sheet differences
4. Preparing monthly journals, attaching support, and submitting for review
5. Preparing and calculating accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and other monthly & quarterly entries
6. Ensuring monthly inter-company differences are investigated and resolved
7. Preparing monthly trial balance for review and adding commentaries for variances
8. Preparing quarterly flux commentary for review
9. Preparing quarterly audit disclosures for review
10. Preparing quarterly revenue submissions
11. Assisting and providing support for internal/external ad hoc corporate requests for information/support/accounting journals
12. Participate in annual accounting, tax audits, and special projects.

What You’ll Bring

The successful candidate will be a ‘hands-on’ and “can do” qualified accountant with strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. Qualified accountant with experience working in a commercial environment in an international business with prior exposure to monthly/quarterly accounting and group reporting. You will have operated at a similar level in an international environment with a demonstrated track record of delivering successful monthly and quarterly reporting.

Qualifications

1. Educated to degree level and qualified accountant
2. Minimum 3 years of experience as an accountant
3. Experience working in a similar capacity at a global organization
4. Strong financial background and good spoken and written English
5. Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and evolving environment
6. Good knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Word and Excel applications
