Important marketing agency in phase of growth and expansion, needs to incorporate a Financial Controller for its offices in Madrid.
What value will you bring to the team? What do we expect from you? Your mission :
Establish and develop a reliable reporting system based on the group rules, respecting the dates and deadlines set by the Financial Management of the Group.
Contributing to the preparation of financial accounts in both Spain and Portugal, in particular the accounting of provisions for customers and suppliers.
Take responsibility for the company’s analytical accounting - which will require a deep understanding of the business, regular meetings with key business leaders, etc.
Perform and review monthly accounting closures.
To make a monthly closing forecast on an annual basis (of which four, one per quarter, will be formal closing forecasts that must be reported to the Group).
Prepare the company’s annual budget.
Manage / supervise the annual audit process, with the support of the accountant.
Monitoring and planning of the company’s cash position, coordinating with the Group on the need for funds if necessary.
Collaborate with accounting in the management of payments, taxes, etc. depending on the need.
Report the main figures monthly to the steering committee for Spain and Portugal.
Manage and make decisions about external suppliers with whom to work: Management firms, consultants, banks.
To ensure that both financial and analytical accounts reflect the reality of the firm, and to keep the rest of the firm up-to-date on the evolution of figures.
About you: Requirements, Skills
University degree in ADE, Economics, Accounting or Taxation Postgraduate, Degree in MBA, Financial Management or similar. Accounting knowledge.
Minimum of 7 years' experience in a control / accounting position and similar functions.
Excellent written and verbal communication in English is essential for direct communication and dialogue with the group’s parent company and CFO. Knowledge of French and / or Portuguese will be positively assessed.
Analytical personality focused on obtaining and understanding detailed data, to transform it into business information.
Methodology of work for results, used to perform their functions through deadlines.
Excellent internal customer orientation. Important a high relational capacity and teamwork.
Ability to self-learn new tools, mechanics and platforms that allow you to be constantly updated on new market trends.
