About the role
Our Financial Risk team sits at the very core of Revolut. Those special agents work across functions, products, and regions to monitor front-line performance and ensure that the business is on safe footing. People in the Risk team are among the first in the company to get involved in new business initiatives, from app technology, through treasury and finance, to customer support.
We’re looking for a Business Credit Risk Manager who’ll continue to help grow and monitor the wholesale credit portfolio of Revolut. An expert at making data-driven decisions with good business intuition on risk-adjusted return requirements. Someone to support the initiative for preventive and reactive actions towards any micro and macro factors impacting portfolio credit performance and profitability.
What you’ll be doing
- Conducting in-depth credit assessments for larger merchants, retail companies, and SMEs across various industries
- Analyzing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and financial health of businesses, adapting assessment methods based on industry-specific nuances
- Reviewing credit risk exposure for merchants acquiring transactions and ensuring risks are well-understood and mitigated
- Providing expert insights into business risk perspectives across industries, guiding the Risk team on best practices
- Evaluating sector-specific financial metrics and understanding how different industries structure their financials
- Developing and enhancing risk models, frameworks, and policies to assess and monitor credit risk effectively
- Collaborating closely with Finance and Product teams to align risk appetite with business growth strategies
- Staying up to date with industry trends, risk developments, and regulatory changes affecting credit risk assessments
What you'll need
- 3+ years experience in credit risk management of business banking, SME or corporate counterparties, ideally in the context of merchant acquisition
- A bachelor's degree in a quantitative / analytical field, like engineering, statistics, physics, maths, economics, or management, from a top university
- Experience in credit portfolio management, including credit limit management, excess management, etc.
- Experience liaising with first-line business functions regarding specific counterparty underwriting, credit strategy, risk-based pricing, retention, etc.
- Knowledge of how to balance business requirements with adherence to risk appetite and credit policies
- A solid understanding of credit and behavioural scoring models, especially for SME credit features
- Expertise in making data-driven decisions, with a particular focus on marginal decision-making
- Proven, excellent results from previous projects
- The ability to plan appropriately to meet multiple objectives, demonstrate forward thinking, identify inter-dependencies, and proactively resolve issues
- A clear, concise, and structured mindset to explain complex concepts in a straightforward way
Nice to have
- A master's degree
- Proficiency with SQL or Python, and other data analysis tools
- Experience contributing to internal policies relevant to business credit risk
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements in business credit risk for financial institutions
Compensation range
- Lithuania: €4,800 - €6,000 gross monthly
- Other locations: Compensation will be discussed during the interview process
- Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills, and previous experience
