The large district town of Ellwangen (Jagst) - a medium-sized center with approx. 25,000 inhabitants - is located in a charming landscape on the A7 Ulm-Würzburg motorway and on the Stuttgart-Nuremberg intercity railroad line. In 2026, the state garden show will be held here as a major supra-regional event. There is a wide range of cultural and sporting activities with numerous attractive leisure options.

We are looking for the Main, Personnel and Organization Office for a

Employee for IT security and digitalization (m / f / d)

Responsibilities :

• Further development of the "Information Security Management System (ISMS)"
• Central contact person (m / f / d) for IT security / advising administrative management, employees and customers
• Coordinating and managing the security process / ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements
• Development and implementation of security policies and procedures
• Risk assessment and management, in particular security training, security audits
• Report on the status of information security to the management level and other security officers
• Contingency planning and investigation of security incidents

Digitalization & process management :

• Central point of contact for process management and digitization
• Development of a digitization strategy for Ellwangen
• Responsibility for the transition from analog to digital processes
• Expansion of online services for citizens
• Coordination, initiation and implementation of digitization projects
• Simplify and improve workflows through process management and digitalization

Your profile :

• Degree in the fields of computer science, information technology, information security / cybersecurity or comparable subjects or digital administration management
• Alternatively : IT specialist (m / f / d) specializing in system integration with at least 5 years of professional experience in the field of information technology
• Professional experience and expertise in IT and information security
• Knowledge and experience in project, change and emergency management
• Administrative experience and knowledge of the structures and tasks of a local authority are an advantage
• Independent, autonomous and structured way of working
• Confident appearance, communication skills, organizational skills and assertiveness
