QA Engineer (Mobile Apps)

Work options: Malaga (Hybrid), Spain (Remote)

We are looking for a Middle QA Engineer with experience in mobile app testing to join our Malaga team on a full-time basis. As part of a dynamic and agile environment, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our mobile applications through manual and automated testing, working closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers.

Our ideal candidate is passionate about quality, detail-oriented, and eager to collaborate in a fast-paced development environment. You will work with an existing test automation framework, focusing on maintaining and extending test cases.

What you will do:

1. Test new features of mainly iOS mobile applications, but also potentially Android, ensuring a seamless user experience.
2. Define, execute, and document test scenarios to validate functionality, performance, and usability.
3. Identify edge cases and missing requirements during refinement sessions and proactively collaborate with developers and product teams.
4. Maintain and expand the existing automation test suite, ensuring reliable and efficient test coverage.
5. Conduct manual exploratory, functional, regression, and usability testing when necessary.
6. Monitor and report defects found during testing, tracking them to resolution.

Who you are:

1. Have 2+ years of experience in manual and automated mobile application testing (mainly iOS).
2. Proficient in mobile testing methodologies and tools, including UI testing, API testing, and exploratory testing.
3. Have hands-on experience with mobile test automation using Appium, Espresso, or XCTest / UIAutomator.
4. Experienced with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr) and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
5. Have knowledge of CI / CD pipelines and integration of automated tests into workflows.
6. Have understanding of mobile performance testing and familiarity with tools like JMeter or Firebase Performance Monitoring.
7. Have excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
8. Experienced working in Agile / Scrum environments.
