We need a person to help us take the brand of ZEISS in the optical sector to the next level, so we are looking for a profile to join the sales area as a Franchise Development Manager, located in Madrid.
Position Functions :
- Pre-Contractual Stage: Search, Recruitment and Evaluation of Franchisees.
- Development of the Expansion Plan and Operating Plan: prepare a 5-year Expansion Plan and 2-year Operating Plan, which must be reviewed, adjusted and validated by the company's leadership team.
- Recruitment of new Franchisees: identify and attract potential franchise partners, ensuring alignment with the company's values.
- Commercial Real Estate Evaluation: Collaborate in the search and evaluation of commercial properties for new centers, ensuring compliance with the Expansion Plan criteria.
- Franchisee profile assessment: conduct a thorough analysis of the franchisee client's profile, ensuring alignment with the company's philosophy.
- Support in the negotiation of rental contracts: assist franchisees in managing and negotiating rental contracts for commercial premises.
Project Development Stage: contract, project and opening:
- Management of the contractual process: supervise the signing of contracts between the company and the franchisee, ensuring compliance with all clauses.
- Supervision of the design and layout of the project: lead the review and approval of the design and layout of new centers, ensuring alignment with the company's guidelines.
- Management of the executive project and permits: supervise the execution of the executive project, verifying the obtaining of all necessary permits and licenses.
- Supervision of the execution of the work: control the progress of the work, collaborating with contractors to ensure compliance with quality, time, and cost parameters.
- Management of the delivery of the work: manage the reception of the project upon completion, including verification of defects and validation of operation and maintenance documents.
- Lead the opening of the franchised centers: ensure readiness for the opening event, coordinating implementation of software, equipment installation, staff training, and marketing activities.
Onboarding and Life Cycle Management of Franchised Centers:
- Post-Opening Monitoring: supervise daily operations for three months, ensuring customer experience and compliance with company values and standards.
- Periodic visits and recurrent evaluations: conduct periodic visits to verify compliance with quality and operational standards.
- Business Review: lead semi-annual or annual reviews of center performance, evaluating operational, financial, and customer experience metrics.
Requirements:
- University degree, with a degree in Optics & Optometry being a plus.
- English: frequent communication with the team at Headquarters.
- Experience in the retail optics sector, both as a Store Manager and as an Area Manager - Minimum of 5 years.
- Experience in recruiting associates and/or franchisees for optical groups or chains.
- Willing to travel at least 50% of the time.
- Supervision and coordination of active ZVCs.
- Recruitment of new partners for the opening of a ZVC within the optical sector or investors.
- Supervision and coordination of the process of opening a new ZVC.
