Project Manager Industrial Performance & Improvement COMBAT A/C FAL&MRO (Temporary)

Job Description:

An opportunity for a Project Manager Industrial Performance & Improvement COMBAT Air Systems FAL&MRO has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid).

The jobholder will join the Combat Aircraft FALs and MRO Performance & Improvement team (TAOCP) which leads the process improvement of several Eurofighter Assembly Lines, major component equipping and Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul at the Airbus sites of Manching and Getafe.

As Project Manager P&I Combat Aircraft, he/she will be in charge of supporting operational excellence in order to ensure world-class competitiveness through effective and efficient processes leading to high customer satisfaction within a state of the art industrial environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this position he/she will directly contribute to the success of the Combat Aircraft Production for Quadriga and Halcon as well as MRO business.

He/She will report to the Head of Industrial P&I Combat Aircraft FALs & MRO (TAOCP).

The location of this position is Getafe. Due to the transversal role, the language for daily business is English. Remote working is part of the job.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Development of digital solutions for shopfloor and offices related to our core processes.
2. Driving, monitoring and implementing the OES Master Plan (Operational Excellence System) to support the Production/MRO areas.
3. Support and coordination of OES internal and transversal assessments.
4. Preparation of Excellence Committees, taking part for the distribution of actions and follow-up.
5. Deployment of Performance Management routines (BSC/SQCDP) standardization throughout the organization.
6. Customizing the KPI tree across the Operational Value Stream ensuring the right connection with the control room.
7. Supporting and managing Continuous Improvement (TIPs).
8. Leading Improvement and Implementation projects from G0 up to G10.
9. Sharing of benchmarks, best practices and synergies across COMBAT plants and sites.
10. Promoting and managing bottom-up ideas generation in the plants and sites.
11. Support the Plant Competence Manager in alignment with the business strategy and resource management.
12. Ensuring efficient reporting and digital visualization of the operational capabilities of all programs within the scope (e.g. BSC, SQCDP) as well as the progress of strategic projects and improvement initiatives.
13. Supporting communication for new initiatives and thus being the channel of connection with shop-floor.
14. Contribute to Digitalization and Innovation initiatives by collecting requirements and deployment of implementation projects.
15. Acting as improvement ambassador for internal and external communication (HUB, production magazine, streaming).

SKILLS

University degree (engineering / business administration) or comparable education.

1. Coding capabilities, experience or interest in digital tool development.
2. First expertise and knowledge in continuous improvement.
3. Knowledge on SQCDP, BSC, DeMaT.
4. Experience in aerospace production or MRO.
5. Fluent in Spanish (English as foreign language).
6. Ability to work in a team, customer centricity, distinct sense of responsibility, can-do attitude, self-reliant, structured, flexible and pro-active working style is required.
