Your role
We are seeking a dynamic, creative and passionate Project Manager to join our team. As a Project Manager, you will be mainly responsible for leading and managing projects related to property openings, renovations, and construction for Olala. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with the brand’s design and operational standards, reporting directly to the Construction & Maintenance Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the vacation rental industry and be part of the fast growth of our company.
Your Journey
- Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and oversee construction, renovation, and property opening projects from concept to completion.
- Design Ideation: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to conceptualize designs that align with Olala Homes' aesthetic and functional requirements.
- Execution Oversight: Supervise on-site activities, ensuring all work complies with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Budget & Timeline Management: Develop and monitor project budgets and schedules, addressing challenges to maintain efficiency.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the main point of contact between contractors, suppliers, designers, and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
- Technical Analysis: Review architectural and engineering plans, providing feedback to optimize construction and design outcomes.
- Procurement: Oversee the selection and purchase of materials, balancing quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to local building codes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates on project progress, challenges, and achievements to the Construction department and senior management.
- Post-Completion Handover: Ensure completed projects meet operational requirements, delivering properties ready for use.
What do you bring to your trip
- Educational Background: Degree in Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 5 years in project management roles within construction, hospitality, or real estate development. Experience in managing photovoltaic and energy efficiency projects is a must.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulations.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD (advanced level), BIM).
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills for managing diverse stakeholders.
- Languages: Advanced English and Spanish proficiency (Romanian, Portuguese or Italian are a big plus).
- Availability: Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
