About the role
The Project Delivery Supervisor facilitates and executes projects with designers, contractors, site supervisors, and senior stakeholders across the EMEA region. You will be responsible for coordinating various support and line functions within and outside of the company to achieve project outcomes within safety, quality, and cost aspects.
This position can be based anywhere in Spain, with the candidate working remotely and maintaining close interaction with our teams in Valderas and Bonete.
What you will be doing
- Using the ORICA project execution manual and PMBOK best practices to implement projects from producing designs to procuring equipment, facilitating installations, and commissioning equipment.
- Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring assigned engineering projects.
- Preparing estimates based on vendor quotes, specifications review, and capital management.
- Monitoring compliance with applicable codes, practices, QA / QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.
- Interacting daily with clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.
- Performing overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and reporting regularly on project status.
- Preparing and providing punch listing and making follow-ups on project close-out.
- Cooperating and communicating effectively with the project team and other project stakeholders to provide assistance and technical support where necessary.
- Reviewing engineering deliverables according to agreed scope and initiating appropriate corrective actions.
- Engaging and managing stakeholders by communicating clearly and objectively.
What you will bring
- 5 years of project management or asset care and operational experience in the mining drill and blast environment.
- Engineering qualification in a relevant discipline of Mechanical, Electrical, Mining, or Chemical Engineering.
- Qualification as a registered PMP or CAPM would be an advantage.
- Knowledge and experience in relevant engineering processes, including:
- Hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Fluid dynamics and pumped systems management.
- 3-phase and 1-phase electrical reticulation.
- Earthing systems.
- Civil and building construction.
- Bulk explosive delivery vehicles.
- Bulk explosive manufacturing plants.
Applied attention to detail.Ability to communicate and influence effectively in making recommendations to management teams and others.Identifying opportunities to apply innovative improvements to the current environment.IT software skills.What we offer
