Open Gateway is a groundbreaking initiative led by GSMA in the telco industry, aiming to revolutionize communication networks by transforming them into platforms. The objective is to unlock open telco capabilities in a seamless, standardized, and programmable manner. These capabilities are made accessible through globally recognized APIs, following the framework of CAMARA, an open-source project collaboratively led by the Linux Foundation and GSMA. By integrating telco capabilities, a vast array of possibilities opens, ranging from enhancing experiences during live events in stadiums and online gaming to enabling autonomous drone control and facilitating secure financial services or telesurgery with extended reality (XR) technologies. These use cases are built upon a set of Telco APIs that serve as a foundation for driving innovative solutions in various business domains, including connectivity optimization, communication enhancement, fintech innovations, privacy solutions, and security services. MISSION
The successful candidate will play a crucial and influential role in shaping and effectively communicating the compelling story of the Open Gateway product. This includes establishing a clear and impactful narrative that resonates with both internal teams and external stakeholders, particularly within GSMA forums and the wider industry. Their mission will be to define and continuously refine the product's value proposition, ensuring it addresses the needs and challenges of the target market while positioning Open Gateway as a standout solution. Through close collaboration with Marketing, Sales, and design teams, they will ensure the value of the product is embedded in every customer interaction, from initial engagement to ongoing usage. The candidate will also analyze market trends and customer insights to adapt the product's positioning, enhance its market fit, and support revenue growth. Ultimately, they will act as a key ambassador for the product's value, ensuring its unique benefits are clearly understood and effectively communicated across all channels.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
By effectively shaping and communicating the story of the Open Gateway product, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving its adoption, expanding its reach, and establishing it as a leading solution in the telco industry.
EDUCATION REQUIRED
Preferably, but not required, hold an MSc/BSc degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field. Degrees in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications are also welcome if the candidate has experience with digital products.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience, with a proven track record of working in digital product units in managerial or technical capacities and/or extensive experience in Product strategy and consultancy in digital environments.
LANGUAGES
Fluent in both Spanish and English, enabling effective communication and collaboration in multinational environments. Proficiency in Portuguese or German is considered an additional asset, as it allows for better engagement with key stakeholders in regions where these languages are widely spoken.
