Job Description:

Hi there! We are Semrush, a global IT company developing our own product - a platform for digital marketers. New stars are born here, so don’t miss your chance. This is our Product/Project Manager (UI-Kit Team) role for someone with a unique perspective on our components, who understands their value in a design system, and who shares our passion for exceptional user experiences, design system principles, and consistency.

Tasks in the role:

  1. Monitor the implementation of components by negotiating with the teams and gathering feedback post-implementation.
  2. Ensure timely updates of components and work with teams still using older versions.
  3. Prioritize and handle incoming requests from product teams.
  4. Engage in project management activities, including pitching projects, monitoring roadmap relevance, and providing project check-ins.
  5. Assist in long-term planning and effectively manage short-term goals.
  6. Research and stay updated on the latest design and system trends, comparing our organization with competitors and maintaining a list of our competitive advantages and areas for improvement.
  7. Initiate UI/UX-related projects, such as restyling, while staying informed about current UI/UX trends.
  8. Enhance communication and processes between the team and Product Development (P&D).
  9. Ensure the attractiveness and promotion of our open-source projects, contributing to our HR brand and developer relations.

Who we are looking for:

  1. Ability to negotiate in any situation.
  2. Strong meeting facilitation skills.
  3. Experience in resolving complex and/or conflict situations.
  4. English at B2 level or above.
  5. Understanding of Agile product development methodologies and knowledge of the basic principles of Scrum team structure.
  6. Ability to use project management tools.
  7. Analytical mindset.
  8. Experience as a project manager/product manager in the IT field.
  9. Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with the design team.
  10. Background in UX/UI design.
  11. Strong understanding and experience with design systems.
  12. Proficiency in using Figma or similar design tools.
  13. Understanding of the concept and importance of a design system.
  14. Ability to respect and adhere to each component of the design system.

We’re on the lookout for a special individual who possesses a unique perspective on our components. We need someone who not only sees them as lines of code but also understands the value they bring as part of a design system. If you’re someone who can embrace the holistic vision of our product and truly appreciate the impact of each component, then you’re the perfect fit for our team!

A bit about the team:

We are developing the design system Intergalactic and the library of components for React, which is used by all teams in the company. Our product unifies Semrush's interfaces, giving users a sense of consistency and integrity and giving developers a complete, intuitively understandable library of components. We are also working on a portal with API documentation for developers, a dashboard for collecting statistics on our components, and we plan to participate in other ambitious projects of the company.

We will try to create all the right conditions for you to work and rest comfortably:

  1. It’s up to you to decide what work format works best for you. You can #wfo, #wfh, or mix both.
  2. Flexible working day start.
  3. Health insurance coverage.
  4. Working from a modern coworking space (or working from home).
  5. Internet coverage (up to 30 eur/month).
  6. Corporate events.
  7. Unlimited PTO.
  8. Hobby benefit.
  9. Training, courses, conferences.
  10. English and Spanish courses.
  11. Gifts for employees.

Finally, a little more about our company:

We’ve been developing our product for 14 years and have been awarded G2's Top 100 Software Products, Global and US Search Awards 2021, Great Place to Work Certification, Deloitte Technology Fast 500, and many more. In March 2021 Semrush went public and started trading on the NYSE with the SEMR ticker. 10,000,000+ users in America, Europe, Asia, and Australia have already tried Semrush, and over 1,000 people around the world are working on its development. The Semrush team is constantly growing.
