ABOUT YOU

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist who will be responsible for managing all AR and credit and collections tasks related to a specific portfolio of clients in South Africa and the Netherlands, starting from April, including but not limited to cash application, risk analysis, blocked orders management, and collection of overdue credits.

ABOUT THE ROLE

1. Allocate incoming cash and complete the cash book on a daily basis
2. Perform customer accounts reconciliations and solve clients’ inquiries
3. Manage customer calls for data verification and resolution of disputes
4. Chase overdue debtors using telephone/email and define the root causes for non-payments
5. Analyze block orders for credit issues and release or reject them based on internal policies
6. Analyze customers with outstanding debt to propose a plan adapted to their situation and help comply with the payment dates
7. Perform month-end closing activities
8. Achieve goals and stabilize KPIs
9. Initiate improvements to policy and process
10. Participate in projects

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

1. Minimum 2 years experience in AR environment, preferably in a multinational company
2. Experience with Shared Service Centers (SSC)
3. Proactive, well-organized, fast learner, positive, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
4. Team player within the department and with other departments in the organization
5. SAP and Excel knowledge

EDUCATION

University degree in Economics, Finance, or Accounting.
