The Mining, Mineral and Battery Materials business is looking to employ experienced Subject Matter Experts (SME), together with Principal and Senior Minerals Processing and Battery Materials Process Engineers with in-depth capability in HydroMetallurgy.
They will be an Industry Recognized Expert in Hydrometallurgy and Battery Materials Processing for Worley. Be able to work and travel to our offices and Client sites to provide expertise, guidance, and Minerals Processing and Battery Materials Processing design services.
You will provide process engineering services on large or mega projects to Worley and its customers, including technical support and supervision within the process engineering team.
Be experienced in undertaking engineering studies to the level of detail as guided by the study phase required by the client (scoping study, pre-feasibility, definitive or bankable feasibility, or a detailed design).
Lead the development of metallurgical circuit design and selection using ore characterisation testwork to select the circuit configuration and to size major equipment. Use mine schedule information to refine designs.
Lead the engineering design for the development of studies through to detailed engineering, including assisting with capital and operating costs. Generate documentation to cover items such as circuit design philosophy, process design criteria, circuit description, process flow diagrams with mass balance, P&IDs, major equipment calculations and specifications, control philosophy, and functional design specification. Be able to liaise with equipment vendors in relation to equipment selection and design.
Coordinate with external engineering consultants on process design as required.

Be able to work with, support, guide, train, and mentor Worley engineering staff.
A strong safety leader, driving attitudes and behaviors and promoting the Worley safety culture.
A degree in metallurgical or chemical engineering; an advanced or supplementary degree is an asset; professionally qualified – Chartered status.
Excellent technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its Clients.
Excellent knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory specifications.
Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite and process engineering specific software.
