The role you’ll play:
In this exciting role, you will be overall responsible for all related to people compliance for the entire LanguageWire. You will be joining the People team in the newest technology (AI) industry. You and the team you are leading will be the steady hand supporting your colleagues with the employment records in connection with on-/offboarding, transfers, promotions, employee compensation across several countries plus maintaining internal policies and procedures to comply with local (labour) regulations. It is a central role in the organisation with many touchpoints especially with our senior leaders, including CFO and CEO. The team you’ll be a part of:
You will lead a team of skilled People & Compliance Managers, report directly to the VP of People, Sara, based in Copenhagen, and be part of the leadership team for the People department.
You will be joining and leading a very cool team who truly know how to work and support each other every step of their way. Your team members will be spread across Valencia, Spain, Hamburg, Germany, and Copenhagen, Denmark. The team is responsible for all employee data, payroll processes, and employment law across LanguageWire.

- Having a good overview and taking ownership of all activities in the People & Compliance team. This includes making sure the People & Compliance Managers get the support they need to develop and solve the required tasks.
- Leading by example: Take ownership of independent projects when the team's capacity is limited or when tasks are particularly complex.
- Leading and driving collaboration with the Union Committee in Valencia, with the guidance and support of the People & Culture Director and the Office Lead.
- Being the trusted advisor for senior leaders and helping the organization make the right decisions by advising them on legal terms while keeping a business-focused mindset.
- Making sure our policies are compliant and up to date with changing legal requirements.
- Driving the increased digitalization of our team by making sure our processes are as efficient as possible and that we use our systems in the best way.
- Ensuring we keep and maintain our high level of employee master data.

Desired experience and competencies
What does it take to work for LanguageWire?
What you’ll need to bring:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in People & Compliance, with a strong preference for those with team leadership experience.
- A relevant education within People & Compliance e.g., law, or HR Management.
- Solid understanding of Spanish employment law.
- Experience working with Union Committees, particularly in Spain, with a strong understanding of effective strategies for navigating and collaborating with them.
- Solid understanding and experience of working with HR GDPR.
- A structured approach with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A high level of proficiency in English and Spanish, enabling seamless communication in an international and multicultural setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to build meaningful connections with colleagues and stakeholders.
- An eagerness to take ownership of tasks, showing initiative and responsibility in all aspects of your role.
- A positive mindset, a can-do attitude, and the ability to remain adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
This will make you stand out:
- Experience working in the People function in an international organization.
- Knowledge of employment law in France, Germany, Belgium, the US, UK, or the Nordic countries.
- You bring experience leading a team spread across different locations and/or remote employees.
- You have experience in streamlining processes.
