Job Description:

Leads and manages packaging solutions for our cosmetic products, ensuring that the packaging not only meets functional requirements but also aligns with strategies, sustainability goals, and consumer expectations.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

1. Research and Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovations in packaging materials and design. Conduct market research to understand consumer preferences and competitor packaging strategies.
2. Concept Development: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development and marketing, to select and propose packaging solutions.
3. Material Selection: Evaluate and select packaging materials based on factors such as product compatibility, sustainability, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with suppliers to explore new materials and technologies that align with innovation goals.
4. Sustainability Integration: Integrate sustainable and eco-friendly packaging solutions, considering factors like recyclability, reduced environmental impact, and circular economy principles. Stay informed about advancements in sustainable packaging practices and incorporate them into the packaging strategy.
5. Prototyping and Testing: Oversee the creation of product prototypes and collaborate with the lab to conduct testing to ensure functionality and visual appeal.
6. Cost Management: Work within budget constraints to find packaging solutions that are cost-effective while maintaining quality and innovation. Identify opportunities for cost savings through material optimization and efficient manufacturing processes.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including product development, procurement, and marketing, to ensure alignment between packaging design and overall business objectives.
8. Project Management: Manage the end-to-end process of packaging from marketing brief to implementation, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. Coordinate with external design agencies, suppliers, and manufacturing partners as needed.
9. Continuous Improvement: Implement feedback loops to gather insights on the performance of packaging solutions in the market. Identify areas for improvement and optimization in packaging design and functionality. Implement a rolling catalog of ready-to-use solutions from different offers available on the market.

Minimum Requirements:

5-8 years of experience in cosmetic packaging (skincare, emulsions) in a B2B beauty industry. Degree in marketing, communication, or engineering is not mandatory. Proficiency in English. Report to Head of Marketing. Hybrid: 3 days per week.
