Summary

With an interior inspired by a book café, with cases full of books and designer pieces, Philosofia is a place that gives shape to the hotel’s philosophy in which to enjoy both sweet and savory dishes. The OUTLET MANAGER - PHILOSOFIA will oversee the Outlet’s F&B experience and will be expected to have a heavy influence on the floor and a dynamic outlet experience to contribute to the F&B team.

Duties include:

1. Responsible for short and long term planning and the management of the Outlets Operations in the front and back of the house
2. Develop and recommend the budget, marketing plans and objectives and manage within those approved plans
3. Implement and maintain F&B sales/marketing programs
4. Direct and oversee development of employees
5. Hire, train, empower, coach and counsel, performance reviews
6. Direct the implementation of payroll, reports, forecasts, inventory and budget for food and beverage operations
7. Coordinate food and beverage operations with other hotel departments to ensure efficient guest service
8. Resolve customer complaints as appropriate to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality
9. Implement procedures to increase guest and associate satisfaction
10. Exercise quality control for both food and beverage
11. Maintain Hyatt standards of service and ensure their implementation
12. Perform daily walk-through to ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations and Hyatt Corporate standards
13. Maintain communications with Corporate Staff
14. Coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt service standards and procedures

Qualifications

What we will love about you

1. Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people
2. 4 years or more of progressive hotel F&B experience (preferably with Hyatt)
3. 2 or more years in F&B Management roles
4. Service oriented style with professional presentation skills
5. Proven leadership skills
6. Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset
7. Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, proven track record in high volume concept, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line
8. Clear concise written and verbal communication skills
9. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
10. Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
11. Experience in implementing new food & beverage concepts
