About the job :

For our growing Corporate division in Azuqueca de Henares at the earliest possible date we are looking for a : Accounting Technician (Contract duration : 1.5 years)

Reporting to the Accounting Manager Spain, your mission will be to manage the day-to-day activities of the GA & Tax Specialist areas within the business to ensure tasks are delivered accurately and on time. This includes providing accounting support to major financial accounting areas, including the accounts payable desk, general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and tax-related issues.

What will your daily responsibilities include in this role?

• Prepare accounting according to local regulations, Asset Management, Taxes, and insurance, travel expense management, and coordination of a Shared Service provider abroad.
• Prepare and support monthly group reporting according to group regulations and procedures.
• Allocate costs to the correct General Ledger, department, and correct period, by managing and booking the accruals.
• Prepare and fill VAT declarations and keep VAT knowledge up to date.
• Prepare statutory accounts.
• Prepare monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts (blackline).
• Prepare supporting documentation for internal, external, and tax audits.
• Respond to local authorities upon requests such as Banco de España, INE, and others.

What we ask for :

• Professional education in Finance and Accounting.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar position in a multinational environment.
• Good knowledge in Accounting Systems and IT tools to establish and develop reporting (Excel).
• High level of English.
