We are looking for an industrial MRO purchaser to join a team of 14 people reporting to the Maintenance and Facilities manager, based in Argentona (Barcelona).

The Category Purchaser will be a key actor of the company success by constantly looking for innovative concepts, securing multi-approval supplying, ensuring total quality at the best costs. The Category Purchaser should ensure stability and strengthen relationships with the suppliers.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for spare parts, tools and industrial supplies.
2. Follow up on MRO purchase orders.
3. Generate requisitions and purchase orders in the system.
4. Obtain necessary authorizations and approvals as per the procedures, in order to be able to make MRO purchases.
5. Maintain good relations with providers.
6. Maintain good relations with internal clients by providing them with a good service.
7. Assess MRO provider performance periodically.
8. Make comparisons in order to recommend MRO providers which are the best option, thus benefiting the company.
9. Maintain the cost-quality relation, pursuing the maximum savings for the company.
10. Generate continuous improvement projects for processes related to MRO purchases.

Qualifications: Required:

1. Minimum CFGM degree, higher education will be a plus.
2. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office. ERP knowledge will be valued.
3. Preferably experience in a factory environment. Previous experience as an industrial buyer will be valued.
4. Results-oriented, teamwork and proactive.
5. Negotiation ability, both with internal clients and with external partners-suppliers.
6. Availability to travel punctually nationwide.
