Within IT Flat Europe organization, the Digital & IT Supply chain department is responsible for the IT Strategy of the Supply Chain function, including efficiency (process and system exploitation and optimization).
We are a transversal IT organization operating at Flat Europe level. Our department is focused on bringing uniform IT applications to all clusters, with cutting edge technology and innovative solutions. In this position, the candidate will be part of our central European D&IT Supply Chain team in Technology team and in direct contact with development teams (offshore and onshore), functional architects, product owners.
The Observability Tec DevOPS plays a critical role in implementing the monitoring needed, automating the services, and proactively monitoring the performances.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Development teams to discover, capture, and implement new items in the Automation Catalog.
- Contribute to the enrichment of the Observability platform.
- Help with the design and implementation of the Automation Platform for ScaleUp.
- Perform monitoring tasks (Application performance monitoring = APM) in the existing and new components within ScaleUp perimeter.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of the Automation Catalog on top of the Automation Platform.
- Implement automation software to verify the quality of complex integrated systems.
- Execute automation runs and analyze automation reports.
- Manually verify execution errors.
- Collaborate with other technical teams:
- With platforms teams (containers, software packages, etc.)
- With architects and developers for optimizing their experience.
- Act and contribute in an Agile way.
Profile:
- Education: Master’s degree in IT or a related technical field.
- Experience: Experience in a similar position would be an asset.
- Previous experience: Previous experience in application development is an advantage.
- You demonstrate most of these key competencies:
- You are proactive, innovative, curious, and bold. You are willing to understand, challenge, and support our business needs.
- You can easily translate observability needs into synthetic dashboards / state-of-art visualization.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Good knowledge and experience with APM tools (Dynatrace, New Relic, Datadog, Splunk, etc.).
- Knowledge using automation/orchestration engines with basic concepts on automation frameworks, especially data-driven and application scenario-oriented.
- A minimal developer background is necessary. Some experience with programming languages (Microsoft .NET stack, etc.) and CI/CD practices.
- Infra-As-Code knowledge/experience (Ansible, Terraform, etc.).
- Some GUI/web-based automation experience.
- Good understanding of SQL databases. Experience with SQL language and with database tools and practices.
- AIops platform experience would be good.
- Experience on Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) – IaaS, PaaS, SaaS.
- Knowledge and experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
- Excellent team spirit and strong communication skills in English (both written and spoken).

Location position: Aviles, Spain (1 or 2 times per year to Ghent).
