At Salas Montalvo, we are looking for a Country Manager for a multinational company headquartered in the Benelux, with a presence in 35 countries, to lead its Spanish branch.

This role is crucial for growing the company’s business in Spain, in line with a highly ambitious group strategy. The Country Manager will be responsible for defining the strategy and go-to-market approach, as well as leading and developing a motivated and skilled team that makes a difference.

The successful candidate must have at least 10 years of relevant experience leading sales teams in B2B / B2B2C environments, ideally targeting the automotive, construction and industrial sectors.

Demonstrable previous experience in sectors where technical selling and product demonstration is required. Must be a strong motivator with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a hands-on mentality, where being close to account managers and customers is key to success.

Fluency in English (C1+ minimum), both spoken and written, is required. A good command of French will be an advantage.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Develop and lead the commercial strategy in Spain.
  2. Build and manage high-performance sales teams.
  3. Coordinate the training and development of the commercial team.
  4. Organise sales meetings and training sessions.
  5. Implement the head office strategy and oversee financial results.

Requirements

  1. Minimum of 10 years of experience in senior sales management roles in B2B or B2B2C environments.
  2. Proven track record of business development and growth.
  3. Experience leading and evolving commercial teams.
  4. Experience working in an international environment and maintaining close relationships with a remote head office.
  5. Knowledge of P&L management.
  6. Valuable affinity with the automotive or industrial sector.
