Your Mission, Roles And Responsibilities
The Corporate Accountant will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting according to IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and local US requirements. You will be in charge to ensure Faurecia Core Procedures (FCP) compliance and proper implementation of new accounting standards are followed. You will support both external and internal audits. You will also conduct on-site balance sheet reviews at production and R&D facilities.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
Ensure financial transactions are compliant with proper supporting documentation
Review / interpret financial guidelines, as needed
Draft technical accounting position papers on complex commercial transactions
Ensure the general ledger information reliability and transparency
Ensure all general ledger account reconciliations are reviewed monthly
Consolidate Risks and Opportunities of the Balance Sheet and communicate to upper management
Prepare and send internal and external audit requests
Perform on-site balance sheet reviews and prepare presentation of results for management
Serve as business partner to the business group finance and controlling teams
Lead and participate in technical accounting matters and provide recommendations, as necessary, to ensure financial accuracy
Your profile and competencies to succeed Key Requirements
Minimum education level: Bachelor degree in Accounting, Master’s in Accounting preferred
Minimum 3 years of professional experience, required
Automotive Industry Experience, Highly Preferred
Knowledge of SAP reporting system (or similar system), preferred
Strong knowledge in accounting principles (understanding of international finance reporting standards is a plus)
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
Strong communication skills and ability to communicate to upper level management
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
Willingness to travel 5-10% (approximately)
Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management
Knowledge in IFRS and Local GAAPS
