About the Role
We are seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) Hematology to join our dynamic team. This pivotal position requires a credentialed expert (PhD, PharmD, DNP, MD, or equivalent) in hematology who will engage in meaningful scientific exchange with leaders in the external medical and scientific community.
As an MSL - Hematology, you will play a critical role in providing scientific leaders with balanced and factual information on various non-product areas of interest to our Company. You will address scientific inquiries from these leaders, including questions related to our products. Your work will be aligned with four core pillars: Scientific Exchange, Research, Scientific Congress Support, and Scientific Insights.
In this role, you will act as a liaison between the scientific community in hematology and our Company, enhancing understanding of the scientific foundations and objectives for our approved and in-development trials, as well as investigator-sponsored research studies. Additionally, you will serve as a role model for other members of the field medical team by onboarding and sharing your therapeutic expertise.
What you will do
As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) Hematology, your responsibilities will encompass a range of vital activities that foster scientific exchange and enhance our understanding of therapeutic areas. Your main activities will include:
- Scientific Exchange
- Build and maintain professional relationships with national and regional scientific leaders (SLs) in Hematology to ensure they have access to crucial medical and scientific information related to therapeutic areas and our Company’s products.
- Conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions, ensuring a reliable presence for SLs as a medical contact within our Company.
- Address scientific inquiries from SLs and guide them to appropriate Company resources for issues outside the MSL scope, in line with applicable policies.
- Stay informed on the dynamic scientific and clinical landscape within our Company’s Areas of Interest (AOI).
- Research
- Collaborate with Global Clinical Trial Operations (GCTO) to identify barriers to patient enrollment and retention, recommend study sites, and pinpoint potential investigators for phase II-IV clinical development programs.
- Provide information to investigators regarding participation in Company-sponsored clinical studies.
- Work with Scientific Affairs to deepen understanding of the scientific foundations and goals of investigator-sponsored research, identifying barriers to achieve study milestones.
- Initiate discussions with SLs and potential investigators to facilitate scientific data exchange aligned with our research strategies and study concepts.
- Scientific Congress Support
- Engage in scientific and medical meetings, facilitating pre-congress preparations and ensuring effective scientific and data exchange for both Company and competitor data while gathering meaningful insights.
- Represent the Company at congress exhibit booths as needed.
- Scientific Insights
- Collect feedback, data, and information from routine activities to enhance our understanding of the medical and scientific needs of healthcare practitioners and patients.

What You Bring
In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:
Minimum Qualifications
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in Hematology, either clinical, in research, or as an MSL.
- A doctoral degree (PhD, PharmD, or MD).
- The ability to engage in doctoral-level discussions with key external stakeholders.
- A commitment to scientific excellence, with a strong emphasis on scientific education and dialogue.
- Business acumen and market knowledge relevant to the pharmaceutical industry.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and networking skills.
- A comprehensive understanding of local and regional regulatory agencies, as well as ethical guidelines, laws, and regulations pertinent to the pharmaceutical sector and its clientele.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access).

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in the hematology area is desirable.
- Clinical research experience.
- A demonstrated record of scientific and medical publications.
