Offer Description

Applications are invited by the University of Alicante President for an open-ended contractual position as an assistant researcher to collaborate with the funded line of research “MOFs as heterogeneous catalysts for CO₂ cycloaddition reactions”. Reference: I-PI 122-24.

Project MFA/2022/048 funded by the Valencia Region Government's Department of Education, Culture, Universities and Employment and by the European Union's NextGeneration Programme.

Job Details

1. Number of job vacancies: one.
2. Job position: assistant researcher.
3. Funded line of research: “MOFs as heterogeneous catalysts for CO₂ cycloaddition reactions”.
4. Working hours: 37.5 hours/week in morning/afternoon sessions.
5. Remuneration: €1,347.86 gross/monthly (plus extra payments in accordance with current regulations).

Job Profile

Preference will be given to those with:

1. Experience and training related to the tasks listed in the second section of this call and to heterogeneous catalysis.
2. Qualification: Official Master's degree in Materials Science (Spanish MECES level 3 or EQF level 7), as well as any other official Master's degree with equivalent content.

Requirements for Applicants

Compliance with the requirements listed below must refer to the date of expiry of the deadline for the submission of applications and must be maintained until the date of entering into the contract. Applicants must:

1. Hold or be in the process of obtaining i) a second-cycle undergraduate degree in Sciences or in Materials Engineering, or any other with equivalent content that qualifies the holder to enter a PhD programme, or ii) an undergraduate degree in Chemistry (Spanish MECES level 2 or EQF level 6) plus an official Master's degree (Spanish MECES level 3 or EQF level 7) that qualifies the holder to enter a PhD programme.
2. Be a Spanish national or be in one of the situations listed in article 57 of Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, of 30 October.
3. Be at least 16 years of age and not exceed the maximum compulsory retirement age.
4. Possess the physical and mental capacities necessary for the performance of the corresponding functions or tasks.
5. Not have been dismissed by disciplinary proceedings from the service of any of the Public Administrations.
