WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Santander Asset Management is looking for a Middle Office Analyst III, based in our Boadilla del Monte office.

The Global Middle Office team provides support to the Front Office departments in the SAM units. Since the implementation of Aladdin in May 2020, the Global Middle Office department has assumed the Settlement of SAM Trades, and the aim of the Global Middle Office department lies in sharing best practices, synergies and knowledge across the units, so that the information and ways of working are homogeneous and consistent.

We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:

1. Active participation in the general Middle Office processes in Aladdin system.
2. Matching and Settlement process in Aladdin system for 4 countries (Spain, UK, Luxembourg and Portugal) by analyzing the information received from the custodians and counterparties as well as follow CSDR penalties and investigate them.
3. Comparing matching information between Aladdin and CTM.
4. Investigate the pending Exceptions once finished the Asset and Cash Recon processes.
5. Coaches new players into Aladdin and the company´s processes.
6. Knowledge of TRS, CDS and OTCs assets calculations.
7. Strikes to improve any processes actively participating in the Front Office company initiatives.
8. Follows up the internal departmental score card, embedded in the Global Middle Office Department governance.
9. Prepare end of day reports for failed and pending trades as well as monthly dashboard and KPIs statistics and initiatives where the involvement of the global ITOP management is required.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Needs to prove that he/she has managed Middle Office processes. Highly organized and able to work to deadlines and manage competing priorities under significant time pressures. Proactive, strong reasoning and problem-solving skills, able to develop pragmatic solutions to complex problems. Confidence to lead projects. High level of English.
