We’re seeking a talented PHP & JavaScript Developer to join our team as a freelancer to work on an exciting project: a comprehensive deckbuilder website.

About the Role:

As a developer on this project, you’ll play a key role in enhancing and maintaining a specialized deckbuilding platform tailored for Magic: The Gathering enthusiasts. You’ll also work on integrating AI agents to provide intelligent and dynamic features for users. The project starts at 20 hours per week, with the potential to increase to 35 hours, depending on workload and project growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance a deckbuilder web application.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented PHP and JavaScript code.
• Integrate and manage third-party APIs related to Magic: The Gathering (e.g., card databases).
• Implement responsive and user-friendly UI/UX components using modern web technologies.
• Create and work with AI agents to build smart applications that enhance the user experience.
• Debug and optimize performance for a seamless and fast experience.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project goals and prioritize tasks.
• Stay updated on trends in both web development and the Magic: The Gathering community.
• Update legacy code.

Must-Have Skills:

• Proficiency in PHP and JavaScript.
• Experience with modern web development frameworks and libraries (e.g., Laravel, React, or Vue.js).
• Strong understanding of database management (e.g., MySQL or PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Knowledge of AI agents and their implementation in web applications.
• Passion for gaming, especially trading card games like Magic: The Gathering.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Knowledge of Magic: The Gathering gameplay, rules, and community resources.
• Experience developing or managing gaming-related websites.
• Familiarity with AI-driven recommendation systems, chatbots, or automation.
