Job Description :
We are looking for a highly qualified R&D Engineer with strong engineering background and experimental expertise, specialized in thermal management and aerodynamic efficiency, ideally with knowledge on plasma actuators technologies. As R&D Engineer, She / He will be using their expertise in projects related to the development and implementation of plasma actuator technologies in the different industries (microelectronics, wind energy, datacenters, automotive, etc.). This is an experimental role in a lab environment.
Responsibilities :
- Technical expertise : Use your knowledge of thermal management, aerodynamic principles, and fluid dynamics to lead experiments and make critical project decisions.
- Risk Management : Identify and mitigate technical risks associated with the development of plasma actuator applications, ensuring project success and compliance with industry standards.
- Stakeholder Communication : Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, technical challenges, and proposed solutions.
- Quality Assurance : Implement quality control measures to validate the performance and reliability of plasma actuator systems, adhering to industry best practices.
- Documentation and Reports : Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations summarizing project results, lessons learned, and future recommendations.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field with Thermal Management and / or Aerodynamics.
- PhD or advanced degree (Master, etc.) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles for Product Development, fluid dynamics, and plasma physics.
- Proven experience in technical project management, specifically in thermal, aerodynamic, or plasma actuator management.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with project management tools and software is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards in microelectronics, aerospace, or related industries.
- Good level of English (B2-C1 minimum - internal communication is in English, and we have a lab in Newark, New Jersey, USA).
