Otovo provides solar panels and other sustainable energy technologies like batteries, electrical vehicle chargers, and heat pumps to homeowners, and we use software and technology to make solar energy easy, affordable, and available everywhere.

We need your help

We seek a collaborative, passionate, and versatile Marketing Manager responsible for the Portuguese and Spanish markets to join our Madrid-based European Marketing team. In this role, you will serve as the voice of the local customer and the focal point of planning and execution of Otovo’s local marketing activities. You will partner intensively with central marketing channel teams and with the local sales teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Be the source & voice of market knowledge (competition, regulation) & local customer insights for your markets.
2. Maintain a holistic view of the markets’ leads targets & leads sources mix, advise/engage with central channels on a healthy quantum & mix of leads.
3. Locally execute/adapt global awareness-driving activities.
4. Opportunistically ideate/pitch/execute local awareness activities or events.
5. Collaborate with local Sales to drive higher conversion rates: devise and communicate impactful promos, optimise sales communications.
6. With central marketing teams, co-create local marketing content relevant for the business, incl. customer testimonials and SEO-driving content.
7. In collaboration with Partnerships, leverage our B2B relationships to drive greater awareness, more leads, and sales.
8. Create newsletters and marketing emails, leveraging central templates & HubSpot expertise.
9. Own local Trustpilot and Google Reviews profiles & reviewer engagement.
10. Ensure that the content of the local websites is up to date, on brand, and aligned with business strategy; own all non-Paid marketing landing pages, assist in conversion optimisation efforts.
11. Jointly with the regional Sales lead and central Integrated Marketing, enable local PR by cultivating and leveraging journalist & freelancer contacts.

Who you are:

1. A doer with previous hands-on experience driving varied marketing topics at digital-first businesses.
2. Highly proficient in the Portuguese, Spanish, and English languages. Culturally attuned to the Portuguese and Spanish markets, local consumers, and business practices.
3. Very well organised with superior project- and time-management skills.
4. Creative thinker capable of coming up with new ideas for promoting Otovo in the market of responsibility.
5. A team player, comfortable with influencing and getting things done with and through others; an open, clear and effective communicator.
6. Numerate, analytical and comfortable with quantifying business impact of marketing actions.
7. Capable of hands-on updating of the site and blog content and proposing/taking actions for site conversion optimisation.
8. Outgoing and thriving on forging and developing connections with local service providers, journalists, partners.
9. Operational knowledge of HubSpot a plus.
