About Deel :
Deel is a global leader in remote workforce management, helping businesses hire and pay talent anywhere in the world. As part of our growing team, you will play a key role in ensuring that our clients navigate immigration laws effectively as they hire and manage talent across borders. We are looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking immigration lawyer to join our team to support both our internal legal framework and the broader needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities :
- Immigration Consultations: Provide strategic legal support to clients by understanding their immigration needs and offering tailored advice to help them navigate the complexities of hiring internationally.
- Strategic Assessments: Evaluate clients’ business models and offer insights on how their immigration strategy aligns with their hiring and operational goals.
- Support for Inspections & Compliance: Support clients through the inspection process, offering guidance on preparing for audits or inspections from immigration authorities.
- Content Creation for Global Immigration Needs: Develop clear, engaging, and accurate content that outlines immigration processes, legal requirements, and business strategies for employers hiring in various countries.
- Cross-Jurisdiction Coordination: Coordinate with internal teams and legal professionals in various countries to provide seamless, comprehensive legal support to Deel’s global client base.
- Ongoing Legal Research & Policy Monitoring: Stay informed about the latest trends, changes, and developments in immigration laws across different regions.
- Preparing and drafting of both application submissions and appeals.
Skills & Qualifications :
- Legal Expertise: A Juris Doctor (J.D.) / LLB / LLM with admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction. Specialization and strong experience in immigration law is required.
- B2B Legal Advisory Experience: Proven track record of providing immigration legal advice to large businesses, particularly in remote workforce settings.
- Clear Communication & Writing Skills: Ability to articulate complex legal concepts in clear, client-friendly language both in written and verbal formats.
- Global Perspective & Cultural Sensitivity: Experience working with international clients and understanding of cultural diversity in the business context.
- Technological Proficiency: Familiarity with legal research tools, case management software, and an understanding of technology platforms used in remote work environments.
