The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, hands-on engineer with good people skills. They will work with small teams of manufacturing engineers and production technicians to characterize, document and improve production processes and integrate multiple technologies into successful new products. They will be self-starting and possess a strong desire to grow with others in the organization.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Contribute to New Product Introduction (NPI) - Design and develop production processes and support prototype builds.
2. Participate in the design and deployment of end of line test fixtures.
3. Develop and implement test plans and protocols based on Product testing concept (Design Output).
4. Participate in sustaining activities as needed, to deploy continuous improvements to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
5. Support the design and execution of preventive maintenance of production equipment and end-of-line fixtures.
6. Act as the technical liaison with the R&D department in cross-functional NPI/NSI and Sustaining projects.
7. Identify and troubleshoot production issues, and work with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions.
8. Support Quality Management initiatives as needed – participate in ISO9001, customer audits and factory inspections for product certifications.
9. Contribute to the deployment of NGS tools as needed: 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Problem Solving and any other lean tool.
10. Responsible for assuring safety in all areas of responsibility.

Required Experience, Education, and Competencies

1. Degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering or FP II Superior Degree in a subject related to electronics.
2. Experience with Electronic circuit technology Design and Assembly processes.
3. Experience with PCB / PCA manufacturing processes.
4. Experience in Testing.
5. Knowledge of Python language.
6. Experience with ERP systems (Oracle), exp. a plus.
7. Focused, target driven with a positive, can-do attitude, team player.
8. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills.
