Role Overview

Our productions require tight budget control, efficient logistics, and strong compliance management. We're looking for a Line Producer who will be responsible for the operational aspects of production, ensuring smooth workflows from pre-production to post-production. This role involves budgeting, hiring crew, negotiating rates, managing contracts, ensuring compliance, processing invoices, and handling final production reports.

While this role is primarily office-based, it is desirable that you are comfortable assisting on set when needed.

Key Responsibilities

1. Budget & Finance Management: Create, manage, and close budgets (ranging from €10,000 - €200,000), ensuring financial transparency and real-time tracking.
2. Hiring & Contracts: Oversee hiring of crew and talent, negotiate rates, and draft contracts in compliance with Spanish labor laws and industry best practices.
3. Production Coordination: Work with the internal production team to help plan, manage, and oversee logistics for internal shoots, ensuring smooth operations from pre-production to wrap.
4. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all productions meet legal, safety, and financial requirements; maintain proper records.
5. External Productions: Manage contracts, track delivery schedules, approve invoices, and review final budget closures for commissioned films.
6. Supplier & Stakeholder Relations: Manage agreements with rental houses, vendors, and service providers to ensure cost-effective and high-quality production resources. Proactively research the best value providers, build strong relationships, and negotiate long-term deals to enhance production efficiency.
7. Finance Reporting: Work closely with the Head of Production and the finance department to reconcile spending and submit final cost reports.

Minimum Requirements

1. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Line Producer, Production Manager, or similar role in the Spanish film industry.
2. Strong knowledge of Google Sheets and budgeting/scheduling tools (Movie Magic Budgeting, Celtx, Gorilla Scheduling or equivalent).
3. Familiarity with Spanish labor laws and hiring best practices.
4. Fluent in Spanish and English.
5. Excellent negotiation, organisational, mathematical, and time management abilities.
6. Comfortable assisting on set when necessary.
7. Proficiency in AI tools and their application in streamlining production workflows, enhancing efficiency, and optimising resource management.
8. Knowledge of project management tools such as Trello, Basecamp, and Highrise.
9. Knowledge of funding and sponsorship acquisition, including identifying potential funding sources, applying for grants, negotiating sponsorship deals, and understanding cultural qualification processes for tax incentives in Spain.
