Legal Analyst - Arabic-speaking markets

We are looking for a Policy and Legal Research Analyst for the Arabic-speaking markets to join our international team of analysts based in Barcelona.

The Policy and Legal Research Analyst will research and publish analysis on the Tamarind Intelligence online platforms concerning the rapidly changing and highly controversial regulatory landscape for emerging sectors, including:

1. Tracking legal developments, effective implementation and enforcement of laws;
2. Establishing your own network of contacts and identifying reliable sources of information;
3. Writing and updating detailed legal regulatory reports for MENA markets;
4. Providing key analysis for shorter editorial updates on short time deadlines;
5. Working collaboratively with other members of the team on editorial, research, and analysis projects.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Proficiency in English and Arabic. Understanding of political and legal systems in the MENA region.
2. LL.B. degree or similar.
3. Strong analytical and research skills - capacity to do desktop research, make calls and engage with relevant stakeholders.
4. Ability to present complex public policy and legal issues clearly and concisely.
5. Capacity to organise your own tasks and meet deadlines.
6. Willingness and ability to learn quickly and take on new tasks.
