About the Role
They are looking for a Lead Quality Assurance to join their dynamic team in Barcelona on a freelance basis until the end of the year.
The Lead QA will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance for the projects, ensuring that the systems meet the highest standards of reliability, performance, and compliance with aviation industry standards.

- Documentation and Reporting.
- Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related; master’s preferred.
- 10+ years in QA and testing roles with at least 5 years leading teams.
- Agile practices like Scrum, Scrum of Scrums, DoR, and DoD.
- Good vision in V&V practices.
- Proficient in test automation tools and frameworks.
- General knowledge in aircraft and aviation data.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication for energizing the team and stakeholder interaction.
- Certifications in QA methodologies, agile practices, or testing are beneficial.
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience in aviation operations.
- Experience working with international teams (potentially with time zone difference).
- Knowledge in ACARS and/or QAR/DAR/CPL/SAR.
- Knowledge in aeronautical data (e.g., flight plans, loadsheets, METAR, ADS-B) and aircraft systems.
Candidates must be open to working Hybrid, 3 days office-based, 2 days remote per week.
