Job Title: Lead E&I Engineer - Senior
Location: North of Spain, region of Asturia: Gijon (remote work, with visits to the site/partners covered via business travel expenses)
Duration: 12 months+ extensions

Project description:
Constructing a state-of-the-art factory for electric car battery components in the port of Gijón, Spain. This project aims to advance the production of sustainable and high-performance battery materials, contributing to the future of electric mobility.

Technical profile requirements:

  1. Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering, preferably in the automotive or battery manufacturing industry.
  3. Proven experience in leading engineering teams and managing large-scale projects.
  4. Knowledge of electrical circuits, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems, and various instrumentation devices.
  5. Experience with sensors, transmitters, control valves, and other instrumentation equipment.
  6. Proficiency in using design and analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, MATLAB) and familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
  7. Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.

Department Description and responsibilities:
  1. As E&I Lead Engineer, you are responsible for controlling the scope, budget, timing, and quality of the technology packages appointed to you within the different projects, including the correct integration of your technology packages in the whole scope of the project.
  2. Lead the electrical and instrumentation engineering team in the design and development of electrical systems and instrumentation for the battery component factory.
  3. Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment and instrumentation systems.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, process engineers, and project managers, to ensure seamless project execution.
  5. Develop and implement maintenance and reliability programs for electrical systems and instrumentation.
  6. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
  7. Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses for electrical engineering projects.
  8. Provide technical expertise and support during the procurement of electrical equipment and materials.
