Lead Data Engineer in SPAIN

For our client, one of the fastest-growing global advanced analytics consulting companies, we are currently looking for an experienced LEAD DATA ENGINEER, to join their team in Spain.

With an international presence and a top-tier client base, our client is among the leading businesses in the industry. They will ensure that you make the most of your knowledge while working with some of the largest and most well-known global companies.

The ideal candidate should have at least 8 years of experience within the field.

The Role :

• Technical Skills: The candidate should be a very strong developer with extensive experience in Pyspark, Python, DBX, and Azure DE stack (ADF, Logic apps, DevOps – CI / CD). Certification in Databricks or Microsoft (advanced level) is highly preferable. The role demands hands-on experience in deploying large scale data solutions and a deep understanding of data manipulation and storage technologies.
• Architecture: Excellent skills in understanding and implementing common data architecture patterns in Azure. The candidate should be proficient in designing scalable and secure data solutions that meet business requirements and align with company goals.
• Tech Leadership:
• Lead and guide junior team members in programming and code deployment activities, ensuring adherence to best practices and maintaining high standards of quality.
• Engage actively in engineering discussions, leading to constructive, actionable tasks. The candidate should be adept at facilitating technical meetings and driving the adoption of agile methodologies.
• Identify engineering and business risks, proposing effective mitigation plans. This includes foreseeing potential challenges and preparing the team to handle unexpected issues efficiently.
• Contribute to scrum discussions with the engineering-product team, prioritizing and documenting user stories and overseeing deliverables. The candidate is expected to play a pivotal role in sprint planning and retrospective meetings.
