For one of our clients in Barcelona, we are seeking an experienced Lead Data Analyst to play a pivotal role in transforming data into actionable insights. In this position, you’ll leverage your expertise in analytics and storytelling to create impactful dashboards, compelling data narratives, and insightful visualizations that will drive key business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with product management and various business teams to translate business needs into advanced analytics and customer-facing dashboards.
2. Utilize BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker to design detailed dashboards, create intricate visualizations, and establish meaningful metrics.
3. Perform in-depth analysis and strategic evaluations to uncover new business opportunities and communicate insights through compelling storytelling.
4. Develop a deep understanding of OPIS data sources and craft sophisticated data models tailored to complex analytical objectives.
5. Bridge the gap between technical and non-technical audiences, explaining complex data in a clear, actionable way.
6. Partner with agile teams to explore, cleanse, map, and model data for effective decision-making.

Qualifications and Skills

1. Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, statistics, mathematics, or a related technical discipline; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
2. Over four years of hands-on experience in data analytics with proven expertise in SQL and Python.
3. Advanced proficiency with visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker, and the ability to design and develop sophisticated data models.
4. Strong foundation in statistical methodologies and their application to real-world business challenges.
5. Skilled in integrating, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets to support strategic goals.
6. Excellent business acumen with the capacity to manage and interpret intricate requirements.
7. Proven ability to lead analytical projects and work both independently and as part of a team to deliver exceptional results.
8. Passionate about creating engaging visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate data-driven stories.
9. Detail-oriented, with a commitment to precision and accuracy in all deliverables.
10. Fluency in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
11. Familiarity with web analytics tools is a plus.
