Senior Designer (Freelance)

As a Senior Designer at Causal Foundry, you'll play a key role in our product process by developing interactive prototypes and high-fidelity interfaces for our machine-learning platform and for the mobile applications we build for our clients. You will conduct user research and define UI components alongside our data science, ML science, and engineering teams, while contributing to the scalability and user-centric nature of our rapidly growing products.

Responsibilities:

• Design beautiful and functional user interfaces for software products
• Define design principles and contribute to Causal Foundry’s design system
• Create wireframes, prototypes, low-fidelity and high-fidelity mockups of product features
• Conduct user research and generate user flows
• Identify key areas of opportunity for user experience improvement, while positively contributing to a collaborative, innovative, and design-centric culture
• Collaborate with designers, managers, data scientists, and engineers in rapid product release cycles
• Collaborate with team members to create engaging and convincing presentations and promotional materials using pitch and other software as appropriate

Minimum qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in UI / UX design, product design, or related field
• Bachelor's degree in design or related field
• Experience designing with Figma
• Strong attention to detail and information hierarchy, excellent written and oral communication skills to articulate insights, thoughtful approaches to problem solving, and ability to present designs to multidisciplinary stakeholders
• Humility, empathy, commitment to collaboration, and enthusiasm for creative thinking
• Self-motivated and able to execute projects independently

Preferred qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in UI / UX design, product design, or related field
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in design, science, or technology
• Expert mastery of Figma
• Experience designing technical products such as AI, ML, Data Science, or SaaS applications
• Familiarity with design for Customer Data Platforms, Customer Engagement Platforms, and personalization engines
• Experience designing product UX / UI component libraries and / or developing design systems for user interfaces
• Familiarity with frontend component libraries
• Passion for data visualization and information design
• Passion for impact and designing through the lens of accessibility and equity
