Role Context:
The Mining, Mineral, Metals, and Battery Materials business is looking to employ a Layout Specialist with sector specific transferable skills to undertake a specialist role supporting large scale projects in a multi-discipline project delivery environment.
You will join the Mechanical Engineering Department which provides concept, FEED and detailed design services for process plant design and layout for the mining and battery material industry sectors.
The ideal candidate will be expected to contribute to Layout, Design and Specification of mineral processing, metallurgical and hydrometallurgical processing facilities as well as materials handling facilities for studies and engineering contracts as defined by the vendor packages.
Will ensure safety in design is achieved, together with related engineering legislation e.g., CDM, Machinery Directive, CE Marking, DSEAR, ATEX etc.
Input into proposals for future work will also be required inclusive of resource hour estimates, key deliverable requirements/norms, and discipline execution strategy for delivery of the Mechanical Engineering workscopes.
The role will involve addressing and resolving functional issues within a project through use of their technical capabilities and engineering judgement, applying own skills to generate innovative solutions as appropriate.
This role can be delivered by hybrid working with regular time working from home balanced with attendance at our office in Madrid.
