The Compliance & Ethics Manager - Spain & Portugal is responsible for assisting the Local Compliance Officer (LCO) with the execution of Teva’s Global Compliance & Ethics (GC&E) Program in Spain and Portugal (Commercial and Teva Global Operations) and will report to the Associate Director, LCO Spain and Portugal.
Please note : this is not a People Manager role.
How you’ll spend your day
Risk Assessment, Monitoring and Reporting: assist in risk assessments and monitoring business activities (live and post) in accordance with the monitoring plan and at the instructions of the LCO and preparing reports based on findings. Assist in developing and implementing preventive and corrective actions.
Training and Communication: help develop and deliver Compliance & Ethics training (live onboarding training and regular Compliance training programs), keep employee training records up to date and assist with local Compliance & Ethics communications initiatives, keep local Compliance & Ethics intranet site up to date and stay updated on changes in regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Support to Compliance & Ethics processes: support local business sponsors with processing Third Party Due Diligence requests, business activity review in EngageMate and other relevant process support, working closely together with the GC&E Operations team.
Data Privacy: assist with the local implementation of privacy laws and regulations, such as local GDPR legislation, working closely together with the Legal department, manage third party data privacy notifications.
Audit Support: assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information, coordinate with the relevant business partners.
Transparency Reporting: collect the required data for local transparency reporting, coordinate with local stakeholders, develop reporting processes and work instructions and create the required transparency reports.
General Support: assists the LCO Spain and Portugal to manage all aspects of Teva’s local compliance program (Code of Conduct, anti-corruption and anti-bribery, industry code, healthcare compliance, corporate compliance, etc.); champions Teva’s Values, Principles, and Code of Conduct.
Your experience and qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, e.g. Compliance, Legal, Economics or Life Sciences
Ideally 3-5 years’ corporate experience in Compliance, or other relevant field such as Legal or Accounting, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry
Fluent in local language; good in English
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with compliance management software
Good interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders
Understanding of rules and requirements regarding healthcare compliance and interactions with healthcare professionals and governmental officials
Understanding of local pharma industry codes
Understanding of corporate compliance topics (anti-corruption and anti-bribery) and compliance programs
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
Attention to detail and accuracy in managing compliance documentation and reports
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Eager to learn and develop
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS : Business travel may be required less than 10% of the time.
